How Did Her Interest in Healthcare Begin?

Laura grew up in Germany and was introduced to natural and alternative healthcare at an early age. One of her biggest influences was her uncle, who worked in alternative medicine.

Through him, Laura became interested in how the different systems of the body work together.

That early interest ultimately shaped her professional career. She began her education in Germany, completing four years of training to qualify as a Heilpraktiker, a German naturopathic healthcare qualification.

She then gained extensive hands-on experience in a number of established healthcare practices.

This helped her develop a broad perspective on health and sparked a growing interest in movement, anatomy, and the musculoskeletal system.

Approach to Care

Laura Takes a Whole-Body Approach

Laura believes physical symptoms do not always occur in isolation. During an examination, she therefore considers not only where someone feels pain or limitations, but also posture, movement patterns, physical demands, and how different parts of the body work together.

Her extensive training allows her to draw on several disciplines. In her examination and treatment, Laura considers factors such as:

R

The nature and duration of your symptoms

R

Posture and movement patterns

R

Spinal range of motion

R

Muscle and joint function

R

Daily physical demands and workplace posture

R

Sports and physical activity

R

Personal goals

“Laura believes every treatment should be tailored to the individual. For her, good care starts with listening, a thorough examination, and a clear explanation of her findings and why she recommends a particular approach.”

Gentle, Precise Chiropractic Techniques

One of the defining features of Laura’s treatment style is her calm, precise approach.

She uses chiropractic techniques tailored to each patient’s body, symptoms, and preferences, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Laura first assesses areas of restricted movement or tension and then decides which techniques may be appropriate.

She focuses on spinal mobility, how joints and muscles work together, and reducing unnecessary physical strain.

Chiropractic Care and Movement

Her training as a physical therapist has given Laura extensive knowledge of movement, muscle function, and rehabilitation. She brings this background into her chiropractic work.

When someone experiences back, neck, or joint pain, for example, Laura considers not only the affected area but also how they move and the demands placed on their body each day.

This allows her to combine chiropractic care with practical advice on movement and physical capacity.

This broader perspective is especially valuable when symptoms are influenced by several factors, such as work posture, sports, past injuries, or long-standing movement patterns.

From Naturopathy to Physical Therapy and Chiropractic

Laura’s career in healthcare began in Germany.

After four years of intensive study, she qualified as a Heilpraktiker and gained experience in practices specializing in natural and integrative healthcare.

To deepen her understanding of the musculoskeletal system, she moved to the Netherlands and completed a Bachelor of Health in Physiotherapy at the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam.

She graduated cum laude. Her interest in the relationship between the spine, movement, and the nervous system then led her to chiropractic.
